Research in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition has shown that daily consumption of yogurt can significantly increase the serum concentrations of HDL cholesterol levels in just 6 months.  It is important to note that the yogurt used in the study was NOT FAT FREE, rather contained 3.5% fat.  Also of equal importance, the study found that total cholesterol levels and the levels of LDL cholesterol were Unchanged!
